A gentle warmth furrows in the breadth of my legs and arms, my chest and abdomen. All the light flourishes within me, outside me, reaches a quiet climax just as the gentle wind of breath and evaporated water carried from miles and miles away brushes strokes of tender love across my being.
Romantic, quiet jazz echoes in my ears, sweetly synchronized with every human sound around me. The people are beautiful—the people are different. It is in moments like this that the bliss of wholesome ignorance is wonderful. To be alive feels like a gift so flamboyantly wrapped in luck and paradox and destiny that I cannot help but smile like a little kid on Christmas morning.
I am in love with life.
