Idyllwild

Idyllwild

It’ll be just like it says on your forearm, he says.
Pleasant idleness.
Sweet nothingness.

Okay, she agrees.
She sees.
Let’s go

The drive only takes three hours and
23 minutes.
but Time dilates in their unified presence

The trees speak in voices of eternity.
>Nevermind Life’s apparent extremities<
Four feet traverse across scattered
redwood bristles; all fades into the overhanging ether…

A mile-high into the Wilderness
Swirls an idle watering hole.

Made of glass? he asks.

She thinks brass.

In they wade,
Swallowing glittering gulps of gold
With every breath they take.

Serendipity ripples across the lake
~~like a skipping stone~~
Two souls idle in the wild
[alone]

Swimming just below the glistening surface,
Creatures roam in blissful ignorance.

You’ve been here, he whispers.

Yes, she says.
One Winter

I walked, draped in gold,
Through the years of my Life–
young and old.
To me it was the
Paradise after My Purgatory,
where Death seemed my greatest glory.

I’m in no hurry.

The journey back to civilization
takes a Lifetime.
but not the linear kind

Strawberry Valley calls out for his return:
“Bathe in her light and burn
Venus is spotted catching a Falling Star,
fleeing the earth, headed toward Mars

Sailing across canyons of the world,
every twist and every turn craving unfurls…

Now where do you want to go?

Anywhere that's Home.
